Sharon L. Holland Huddleston Alfaro

Services will be held on Monday in Napa for Sharon Holland Huddleston Alfaro, 45, who died of cancer on Thursday in her home.  Mrs. Alfaro was born in Napa on August 20, 1943, the eldest child of Paul and Majorie Holland.  She attended both Ridgeview and Silverado Middle Schools, graduated from Napa High School in 1961, and attended Napa Valley College. 

She met her first husband, Aaron Huddleston, while working at Napa State Hospital.  Together they had three daughters.  Aaron became an airplane pilot and was killed in a crop-dusting accident in the early 70's

Sharon married Felix Alfaro on January 22, 1984, in Napa.  She had been a counselor at Aldea, Inc. in Napa, a psychiatric technician at Napa State Hospital, and had provided in-home health care for the elderly in the 1970’s.

Sharon and her husband had moved to Norwalk, Connecticut a year ago, and had returned to Napa earlier this month because of her illness.  She enjoyed bowling, sewing and cooking.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Alfaro is survived by her mother and step-father, Marjorie and Cecil Mitchell; three daughters, Dana and Rachelle Huddleston, Rebecca Gibson; two brothers, James Holland and Paul Holland Jr.; and sisters, Charlotte Freeman and Janet McVay, all of Napa, and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father, Paul Holland, in 1967 and her first husband, Aaron Huddleston. 

Burial at Tulocay Cemetery, Napa, Ca.
