Just to make it easier for anyone I'm posting her obit here as published in the Napa Valley Register:

Sandra (Sandy) Waggoner passed away on December 8, 2016. She was born on January 9, 1944 to Maxine and Leslie Cook at Mare Island Hospital, where her father was a naval officer. She attended Napa public schools, and along the way met the love of her life, Jim Waggoner. After spending their high school years together as the classic “jock and cheerleader” couple, they graduated in 1961 and were married in 1965. They were married for 46 years, until Jim’s death in 2012.

Jim and Sandy joyfully welcomed son Bill in 1971 and daughter Leslie in 1981. In 1989, they just as excitedly became the adoptive parents of Chris Weaver, a dear friend of son Bill’s, who had formerly resided at Hanna Boys Center. Sandy was devoted to the schools her children attended, serving as Parents Club President, Ladies; Guild Board President, Theatre Arts Parents Society President, and an active member of the Sports Association.

Sandy worked for NVUSD, the same school district where she had come of age, from 1977 to 2010 when she retired. She touched the lives of hundreds of children in those years, at Vichy Elementary School, Yountville Elementary School, and Redwood Middle;e School. Excited former students around town often recognized her, some of whom remembered her from over 30 years prior.

Her philanthropic efforts were many, including the aforementioned schools, Napa’s Community Projects, the SF SPCA, and several San Francisco Arts organizations.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by sons Bill Waggoner (Angelica) of West Linn, OR and Chris Weaver (Stacey) of Santa Rosa, CA; daughter Leslie Waggoner of San Francisco, CA; grandsons Michael Waggoner and Lucas Weaver; brother Bill Cook (Linda); and beloved mother Maxine Adamson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Apollinaris Church. Reception to follow.
